and all angels

Even I sometimes admire angels more conventional than my beloved scaly angry dragon Michael. Here is Nathaniel Westlake’s take on the Angel of Evening. Oh the wings, the feathers!

  1. Love the wings; think the face a tad sapsy…

  2. It is true that my dragon-angel is the best but despite his energy and vigour, his wings don’t have quite the richness feather at its best can achieve. I do think that Evening has THE most lovely wings. I am currently writing a children’s picture-book, where each angel finds their own place – evening would not make it as one fo the Beasts of the Evangelists – but s/he must have a role somewhere – not, I think, comforting the dying Moses which is what s/he is supposed to be doing.
